Stolen mail - including ballots - found on federal land in Central Oregon
Election officials are re-issuing ballots for dozens of voters in central Oregon after discovering stolen mail dumped on federal land.
A ranger with the Bureau of Land Management found the stolen mail in Deschutes County.
Officials say the ballots were still sealed, so there wasn't any attempt at fraudulent voting.
All told, mail from more than 70 addresses was discovered.
The post office is now working to re-deliver the mail.
