Suspect accused of murdering two people at Oregon home caught near U.S./Mexico border

LEBANON, Ore. – A murder suspect accused of killing two people in Lebanon, Oregon was caught near the U.S./Mexico border on Sunday, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office said.

Brenton Wade Richmond, 48 of Lebanon, faces two counts of aggravated murder.

The investigation started Saturday morning when law enforcemet found two people – 42-year-old Tammy Lee Hopper and 48-year-old Eric Cody Jacobs – dead at Hopper’s home in Lebanon.

Investigators worked through the night and identified Richmond as a suspect in the case. Authorities say he was caught Sunday in Southern California.
