PORTLAND, Ore. – One of the men arrested in the murder of Kelso, Wash. convenience store clerk Kayla Chapman was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on Sunday.

Erkinson Bossy, 23, was taken into custody on Tuesday (Feb. 5) after a lengthy chase from Vancouver into Portland, which ended on Interstate 84 near 33rd Avenue.

Vancouver Police say detectives tried to arrest Bossy at an apartment near the Vancouver Mall that evening, but he drove off.

He led police on a chase from I-205 to I-84 before crashing near 33rd Avenue and prompting an overnight closure and investigation.

Bossy was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Police have not confirmed his injuries, but say he was not shot in the incident.

One of the other suspects in Chapman's murder claims Bossy drove the getaway car.

The Kelso Police Department will eventually extradite him from Oregon back to Cowlitz County.
