Believe it or not, the holidays are just around the corner and it’s time to get started on holiday shopping.
Holiday Food and Gift Festival
Find unique gifts, handmade goods and gourmet delights at the Holiday Food and Gift Festival.
The event takes place at the Oregon Convention Center Friday night until 6 p.m. and doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and kids and free for kids 12 and under.
It's the ultimate festival for word nerds!
Wordstock - Portland's Book Festival features more than 100 authors presenting 43 onstage events, pop-up readings, and 15 writing workshops.
There's also a book fair with more than 70 vendors, local food trucks, and activities for all ages.
The event begins Saturday and goes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Portland Art Museum and neighboring venues.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door.
But, there are several free events Friday night for Lit Crawl.

Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and free for kids ages 15 and under.
