A man was stabbed on a MAX train Tuesday night, according to Portland police.

It happened near the Southeast Division Street Transit Station at 9402 S.E. Division just before 9 p.m. The stabbing happened on a northbound Green Line train.

Police said they arrested the suspect without incident on a westbound TriMet bus near the intersection of Southeast Division and 82nd Avenue after witnesses told officers the suspect boarded it.

The victim’s injuries were minor, police said.

The MAX Green Line was disrupted as police investigated, but the service has since been restored. Delays up to 15 minutes are possible, however, through 10:30 p.m.

There was no immediate word on the suspect’s motivation.
