Voodoo Doughnut pays tribute to local music legend
Voodoo Doughnut paid tribute to local music legend Toody Cole by adding her to their stained glass window at the downtown location.
She's most famous for founding the punk group Dead Moon with her husband Fred.
"Toody's still alive and well with us. We decided to put Toody up there because she's a bad motor scooter, she plays bass, she's a mother, she's a grandmother, she's toured all over the world, she's put Portland on the map," Tres Shannon, co-founder of Voodoo, said.
After Dead Moon, Toody and Fred formed another band called Pierced Arrows.
More recently, before Fred passed, they played stripped down shows as a duo.
