Washington State Patrol says man was walking on I-5 when driver struck him
RIDGEFIELD, Wash. – A Vancouver man was taken to the hospital Monday night after Washington State Patrol says he was struck and injured by a driver in Ridgefield.
Washington State Patrol responded to the crash at 10:51 p.m. on Interstate 5 South near 179th Street in Ridgefield.
They say the 45-year-old man was walking northbound in the left, southbound lane of I-5.
Investigators say the driver, Kathren R. Rintoul, 26, of Longview, was driving a 2013 blue Dodge Dart southbound on I-5 when she struck the man.
The pedestrian was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
He was faces a charge of unlawful use of a limited access highway.
