WELCHES, Ore. – Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a Welches man who said he had beaten someone to death and was threatening to kill himself early Wednesday morning.

When investigators arrived at the home in the 68300 block of E. Twinberry Loop in Welches shortly after midnight, they surrounded the residence and instructed the suspect to walk outside. The suspect, 61-year-old William Joseph Bouley, complied and was taken into custody.

Deputies entered the home and found the victim on the couch. The victim had a severe head wound and was conscious but disoriented while paramedics treated her. She was taken to a nearby hospital with traumatic injuries.
