A wildfire broke out just north of the California-Oregon border early Wednesday afternoon, according to Oregon Department of Forestry, Southwest Oregon District.

Multiple fire rescues and districts are working together to combat a 10-20 acre fire that can be seen from the Interstate-5 near milepost four. "Right now, firefighters are battling one to two-foot flames," ODFSW said in a public statement. "Conditions are looking favorable to allow crews to gain control of the fire by late this afternoon."

There are no delays on the highway, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. Additionally, no homes are currently threatened in the area.

"While Fire Season is officially over, warm temperatures in the afternoon pose an increased risk for wildfires to start and spread quickly," said ODFSW. "Please be aware, and remain vigilant into the winter months."
