WSDOT shares incredible photos of snow drifts
The Washington State Department of Transportation posted these photos of the snow drifts seen across the region.
WSDOT closed several major highways during the winter storm due to the snow drifts.
Below are closures that are still in effect.
SR 14 is closed in both directions from milepost 101 near SR 97 Intersection to milepost 153 near Benton County Line due to heavy snow, poor visibility, and areas of impassable snow drifts.
SR 225 closed milepost 3 at Benton City to SR 240 at milepost 11 due to blowing and drifting snow causing impassible snow drifts on the highway in multiple locations.
SR-241 is closed east of Sunnyside in both directions from milepost 12 near Independence Road to the junction of SR-24 due to drifting snow and blocking the roadway with snow drifts.
SR 240 is closed from just north of Pasco at milepost 27, Kingsgate Road remains closed in both directions to the SR 24 junction due to drifting snow and blocking the roadway with snow drifts.
SR 24 is closed in both directions from the junction with SR 243 at milepost 44 to milepost 79 at the junction with SR 26 due to collisions and poor visibility.
