Retired lawyer pushes Oregon gun control initiative
Oregon voters could get the chance to weigh in on a huge gun control measure next year.
It’s called the Common Sense Gun Regulation Act of 2020.
It was filed by a retired lawyer Greg Wasson.
It would ban a variety of semi-automatic firearms.
Wasson says not every firearm deserves to be protected by the Constitution. But opponents disagree.
Wasson has a long way to go, though. Supporters need to collect 112,000 signatures to get it on next year’s ballot.
