Voters in Clark County approve 2 school bonds, but Battle Ground failing
Residents in Clark County voted on four propositions Tuesday.
According to election results, the Evergreen Public Schools' $695 million bond is passing as is the La Center School District's bond measure.
Both of those measures are receiving more than the required 60 percent support.
But the Battle Ground School District's bond only had 58 percent support, meaning it was failing.
The city of Camas renewed a property tax to fund emergency medical services.
Voter turnout was low. Only about 27 percent of Clark County voters bothered to turn in their ballots.
Correction: A previous version of this story did not indicate that 60 percent of the vote is needed for a school bond to pass. Meaning, Battle Ground's is failing.
