PORTLAND, Ore. -- When you think of modern day slavery, what does that mean to you?

There are many definitions of what constitutes as slavery so it's difficult to put an exact number on people living as slaves today. But estimates range from 10 to 30 million people.

Molly Kelleher, a 17-year-old student at St. Mary’s Academy, is taking a stand and empowering her generation to be advocates for change.

She’s the policy and expansion director for YES, which stands for Youth Ending Slavery.

YES will be holding its fourth annual “Walk to End Slavery” Saturday, Sept. 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Director Park in downtown Portland.
