File: KATU News

Before his death in December, Holocaust survivor Alter Wiener touched the lives of many people, young and old, by telling his story. Two of those people, a teenager and a state senator, are now carrying on his mission to make sure every student in Oregon learns about the Holocaust and genocide.

KATU's Steve Dunn interviewed 14-year-old Claire Sarnowski and Sen. Rob Wagner about a bill in the 2019 Oregon legislature inspired by Alter Wiener and his story.
