PORTLAND, Ore. – Five candidates are running for an open seat on the Portland City Council.

They sat down with KATU’s Steve Dunn to discuss how they plan to handle some of the biggest issues facing Portland, including housing the homeless, easing congestion, and creating new jobs.

The race could be decided in a few weeks if one of the candidates gets more than 50 percent of the vote in the Oregon primary.
