The Oregon Ducks 69-10 win over the Oregon State Beavers Saturday night marked U of O’s 9th Civil War game victory in the last 10 seasons, making it a night of celebration for Duck fans.

By the end of the third quarter the Ducks led the Beavers by over 50 points. Some fans left the game before the fourth.

“Yeah that game was over after that first quarter,” said Matt Duenas, a long time Beaver fan.

However, others like Ryan Gallisee were more hopeful and decided to stick it out until the end.

"I'm a Beaver fan, I'm an alum, so I love the Beavs, I bleed black and orange, so I'll always be here supporting,” he said.

Only one member of the Dyer family was celebrating Saturday night.

"Everyone else was a Beaver so I went against the grain and did the Duck route and for me it works out wonderfully we win much more often now," said Sophia Dyer.

Even for Sophia, whose dad is an 83 Oregon State alum, Saturday night’s final score came as a surprise.

"I expected to win, I didn't expect it to be this," she added.

Despite the harsh loss, Oregon State fans said they will continue to root for their alma mater.

"Every single year I root for the Beavers no matter if they're 1-10 or 10-0," said Sophia's dad, Mike Dyer.
