Source says co-offensive coordinator Mario Cristobal will be named Ducks head coach

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon Ducks football team could be announcing some big news in the near feature.

According to ESPN, a source told them Mario Cristobal will be named the new head coach of the Ducks.

Cristobal is currently the Ducks co-offensive coordinator.

He was named interim head coach after Willie Taggart announced he was leaving the team for a head coaching position at Florida State University Tuesday.

Cristobal has only been on the Ducks coaching staff for a year.

He was previously a head coach at Florida International University from 2007 to 2012.

He also coached the offensive line at Alabama from 2013 to 2016.
