Emily Girsch

Emily Girsch joined the team at KATU-TV in March 2023.

An East Coast girl, Emily hails from Maryland and began her news career behind the scenes at Fox News Channel in Washington, D.C. before venturing into on-air reporting in upstate New York and New York City.

Recent highlights of her reporting include the May 14th grocery store mass shooting in Buffalo, the 2022 Buffalo Blizzard, and breaking stories of corruption in Buffalo Public Schools.

Emily is passionate about connecting with her community and looks forward to exploring the beauty and culture of the Pacific Northwest.

In her free time, she likes to go to vineyards, try new restaurants, catch up on Netflix, or curl up with a good book.
