Kellee Azar joined KATU news in December 2015. She moved back to Vancouver, Wash. after 8 years exploring the world through travel and work.
Kellee is happy to be home to see friends and family. She has many great memories of attending Mountain View High School, but chose to leave the PNW by moving to Arkansas and attending Harding University.
Kellee comes most recently from Washington D.C. where she reported for Fox 5 for two years. During her time there, she covered the Baltimore Riots and did national coverage on the Ebola outbreak.
Before that, she spent two years in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she learned to handle heavy snow, extreme cold and the midwestern way of life.
Kellee is an Emmy Award-winning journalist with a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award. Her passion is breaking news, being first on scene and bringing you the latest details as they happen.
Kellee has loved news since she was a little girl and has always dreamed of making her way back home. After moving all across the country, Kellee is confident there is no better place than the Pacific Northwest or as she likes to call it... Home!
